About Pakistan Ordnance Factories
The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) is a major firearms and a defence contractor headquartered in Wah Cantt, Punjab, Pakistan. Described as “the largest defence industrial complex under the Ministry of Defence Production, producing conventional arms and ammunition to the international standards” by the Government of Pakistan.
The POF was founded by the Government of Pakistan with early collaboration from the former British Royal Ordnance Factory in 1951. The POF engineers, develops, produces, manufactures, and promotes a wide range of different types of infantry and special-purpose weapons, explosives, ammunition, mortars, rockets, and the military gear for Pakistan’s military. The POF is owned and sponsored by the Ministry of Defence Production whose corporate leadership comes from a deputation by the Army GHQ of the Pakistan Army. The POF is the earliest and one of the largest military corporations in Pakistan, and later influenced many other military corporations in the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The POF produces ammunition that meets requirements set by NATO specification. Apart from military works, the POF also serves the civilian law enforcement agencies, Civil Armed Forces, and private security markets nationwide.

- To apply online for Pakistan Ordnance Factories jobs, follow these steps:

- Pakistan Ordnance Factories Jobs For positions mentioned at Sr # 2, candidates having background of CAD/CAM/CFD Simulation and relevant experience of 2-3 years will be given preference. Candidates possessing higher qualification will also be given preference.
- vi. Candidates for position mentioned at Sr.N. 1 to 5 having higher qualification will be given preference. The degrees must be from HEC recognized and reputed institutes/universities duly verified by concerned authority. Candidates of all the engineering disciplines must have valid PEC Membership.
- For positions mentioned at Sr.No.7 & 8 candidates having following will be ineligible:-
- Disciplinary case involving moral turpitude/character or involvement in misappropriation any time during service.
- Applicant discharged compulsory on account of inefficiency.
- Applicant with medical category “C”.
- Those having foreign spouse are ineligible.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible for the test Interview.
- Government servants should apply through proper channel.
- Consequent upon appointment in POF, the individuals will be placed under probation initially for a period of 01x year, further extendable under the rules. In case of failure to clear the probation, the individual concerned will be terminated /discharged from service under the relevant rules.
- Result awaited applicants are in-eligible to apply. Only eligible candidates will be called for test/interview through SMS, therefore, active mobile number should be mentioned on application Form.
- However, POF will take no responsibility for non-receipt of SMS due to any reason.
- Direct applications will not be entertained.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
- The closing date of availability is December 1st, 2023.
